Hope (and Love)
Valentine's day is just round the corner and I must admit its hard to not get caught in the fray.
Be it the lovers who eagerly await this day to make it special for their sweethearts or the singles who rue being alone and yet keep a straight face by making fun of those who are committed.
Lets admit it. Everyone, be it a boy or a girl has a need to be loved. A need to feel special, to be wanted, to be the world to someone. After all, the genesis of the mankind was out of the love of Adam and Eve. The expressions of love may be as varied as imagination, but at the bottom of all this lies a heart, yearning for love. Love could manifest as a proposal on a hilltop, on a roller coaster, over a clichéd "dinner", over coffee, or maybe in bed after a steamy session of sex. The list is unbound. Love in itself, even more.
Its amazing to see how similar humans are, when in love. No matter how vehemently we deny it, there is no rationality in love. Almost all of us love one person on this earth to the point of madness, never accept it publicly, get jealous when he or she doesn't talk to us, repeat the same mistakes while wooing, and get extremely nervous while communicating indirectly with the other person. If only a girl could see a boy and his vacillation when he is composing a text message to send her. Even while talking to him directly, a girl's heartbeat might be jumping erratically, palms sweating and she would act as if she doesn't have a care in the world.
Negating the feeling of love and then pining all night for that special someone, such fascinating creatures we humans are... :)
Love is natural. It is eternal.
The largest and perhaps the most amazing expression of love is our earth. Can you imagine how much detail and attention the creator would have put in while making such a beautiful place? Be it the towering mountains, or the vast expanse of the ocean; from lush green meadows to hostile deserts. And the beings that dwell on it- from the small but extremely pretty corals to giant predators like sharks. Each one with their own imperfections and yet loved by the master creator himself.
One creation that stands out above all others is the human heart, which despite undergoing immense pain and rejection, both by society and its own critical self, manages to love again. Our heart, with blind hope and oblivious to the past, loves again and again and again, with an unmatched vigor and a hope that it will be loved back :)
That I believe is a marvel in itself, the ability to love, without prejudices, without biases and most importantly- without limitations :)
So who are you loving this Valentine's? ☺ ♥
